Alpha 4 Update


Alpha 4 is now out! This primarily includes Tier 4 gear, and the start of the abilities system.

The tier 4 gear is largely self-explanatory, and will be the last tier before I start to bulk and balance them out a bit better.

The abilities system provides players with special abilities with larger effects. Warriors can release a cleaving strike that hits all enemies in front of them, Rangers can release a flurry of knives around them and mages can temporarily freeze enemies. These all require the player to max out the adrenaline to 100, which is done by fighting enemies normally. The special ability can be activated by right click/left trigger/ pressing the special ability button - which will be named appropriately based on the class.

However, due to time constraints there is only 1 ability per class implemented at present, and they lack any audio or visual cues. I plan to address this in the coming days(Hence this is more an Alpha 4 pre-release).

And speaking of which, due to the imminent arrival of festivities, I'll be shifting my schedule somewhat. There'll be an Alpha 4.1 release on Sunday which will include additional abilities and vfx/sfx. Followed by 4.2 on Wednesday which will enable boss abilities, along with any bugfixes. Alpha 5 will be landing on the 31st and should include a nicer character select screen/hub area, in-game tutorial and potentially more dungeon options.
